Who We Are
The YUGM Family Shelter Program exists to help families move out of active homelessness, provide life-changing temporary housing and support families in successful participation in employment and housing markets to ultimately beat the cycle of generational poverty.
What We Do
Family Shelter staff provide weekly/daily mentoring and resources for employment and housing options. We also provide opportunities for spiritual input and growth. The community can help by.....
*Building relationships with our families by taking them out for coffee, ice cream or dinner.
*Providing affordable rentals to folks who have blemishes on their legal background, eviction record and credit score.
*Helping keep our rooms and general area clean.
*Providing leadership in our Kids Klub Program for kids ages 3 - 8 or Mid-Kids Program for older children.
*Providing Bible teaching and spiritual leadership for our adults in Family Shelter
*Providing office support.
“For parents of minors serving at the Mission: the population served by YUGM has many diverse mental, spiritual, emotional, physical, and social conditions that could include distressing or violent behavior. Minors need to be supervised closely at all times.”
