Lighthouse Thrift Volunteer: Processing

Description

This store has become a local hot spot for both shopping and donating.  With a large selection of name brand clothing, beautiful home decor, books, electronics, furniture and housewares, Lighthouse Thrift has something for everyone! 

But there’s more… Everything that is donated and sold at a YUGM store helps us with our singular mission of bringing people from HOMELESSNESS TO WHOLENESS!  By shopping and volunteering with us, you are literally changing people’s lives by supporting and funding the incredible work and programs at the Yakima Union Gospel Mission!  So while you are getting great things and donating your time, you are also GIVING great things to those in need right here in our valley!

We need help Tuesdays 12-3pm, Wednesdays 11-2pm and Thursdays 10am- 2pm.

We invite YOU to become a part of the team that brings people from homelessness to wholeness!

Tasks could include: 

  • Tagging or hanging clothing
  • Testing electronics
  • Cleaning donations
  • Assisting with books
  • Organizing recyclable items
  • Helping find TREASURES! 

 

This opportunity is not eligible for court ordered community service.
