Who We Are

The YUGM Adult Shelter exists to provide a safe, low-barrier alternative to street-homelessness, and to help clients take their first steps toward life-changing temporary housing and successful participation in employment and housing markets.  Many have come from lives filled with trauma and rejection. Our guests are hungry for a listening ear, a warm smile and need folks to sit with them one-on-one in conversation, offering prayer and consistent mentorship.

What We Do

Guest relations provides for the physical needs of our clients through a clothing room and hygiene room (all donated items) and provides support for their emotional and spiritual needs through one-on-one relationships.  Efforts are made to connect clients with community services that will help them on their individual path to wellness.

“For parents of minors serving at the Mission:  the population served by YUGM has many diverse mental, spiritual, emotional, physical, and social conditions that could include distressing or violent behavior.  Minors need to be supervised closely at all times.”
