Volunteer: Check Point: Afternoon Shift

Twice a day we process Adult Shelter Clients through guest services check point so that they can come in and enjoy some shelter and a good meal and possibly stay with us for the night. We also process client in-takes. This opportunity does require a little physical activity and you may witness situations that require emotional maturity.  If you feel you can help us with that, please respond to this opportunity and we will reach out to you.

Volunteer: Guest Services On Call

Sometimes we find ourselves in a situation where we are short staffed and need a helping hand caring for our clients. Caring for our community members is a 24/7 job and we need help sometimes when one or a few of our staff members falls ill. These on call positions will most likely be helping in our Adult Shelter area during the day and at night. Please reach out to our volunteer department by email at volunteer@yugm.org or phone at 509-853-4318, if you would like more information about this position or are interested in meeting with a staff member for orientation and training. During your shift you will always have a staff member available to you and/or with you.

Help show love to YUGM clients by providing them with the gift of clean laundry! We highly value cleanliness and hygiene, which means we have much clothing and bedding to launder. Would you like to be a part of the laundry team to help us maintain our cleanliness standards? It takes approximately one hour to wash and dry and load of bedding or clothing.
